OPLA Salishan Conference April 26 - 28
We are excited to announce that the 2024 OPLA Biennial Conference will be held from April 26 - 28 at Salishan Coastal Lodge, in Gleneden Beach, Oregon. Join the Oregon Patent Law Association for a weekend of networking with patent professionals and a curation of speakers presenting on topics within Patent Law.
Currently, the OPLA Board has lined up 6 presentations/panels with speakers from academia, in-house, and private practice. The OPLA will be applying for CLE Credits for each presentation, including credits that apply towards Access to Justice, Ethics, as well as General Credits.
Planned speakers include:
Prof. Karen Sandrik (Willamette University College of Law) - The Impact of Amgen
Emil Ali (McCabe & Ali, LLP; Lewis and Clark Law School Adjunct) - Ethics Discussion
Panel regarding ADAPT including Marie Weiskopf (Meta)
In-house Panel including Mike Willardson (Daimler Truck North America), Andrew Harrington (Tektronix), and Hugh Pasika (Thermo Fisher Scientific)
Nika Aldrich (Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt P.C.) - Exploring The Impact of Recent Developments in Design Patent Law
Mariella Massaro & Michael Nielsen (Berggren Attorneys) - 2023: The Most Significant Year for IP In Europe
